About the Author Gorham Kindem is a professor of communication studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author of The Live Television Generation of Hollywood Film Directors, coauthor of Introduction to Media Production: From Analog to Digital, and editor of The American Movie Industry. He has directed several public television documentaries.
